Educating for the Future

The learning journey at Trinity honours the developmental stages in a student’s life. Based on leading educational research and the best of today’s technologies, we prepare students for the future by teaching them how to think critically and creatively, how to communicate effectively and how to lead and work both independently and collaboratively.

Religious Education

Religious Education - Trinity Catholic Primary Kemps Creek
Trinity offers a curriculum that allows each and every student to achieve and excel, and we focus on growth and continual improvement.

We believe that every student is capable of personal learning success and we ensure that we provide learning experiences that cater for all types of learners. Our teachers are responsive to the needs and abilities of our students and use this to set their learning programs.

The learning support team, class teachers and teachers' aides work collaboratively to cater for students with additional needs. Regular assessment and tracking of student performance allows for early identification of, and intervention programs put into place for, students identified as being at risk, particularly in the areas of literacy and numeracy.

As the building blocks for all learning, we have a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy throughout our learning and teaching programs.
Literacy - Trinity Catholic Primary Kemps Creek

Literacy

At Trinity, we believe literacy is best taught and learnt through meaningful experiences integrated into the curriculum. Our daily literacy sessions include opportunities for students to engage in talking, listening, reading and writing activities in a series of whole class, small group, paired and individual experiences. We have a focus on using a variety of quality texts and strongly encourage daily home reading.

Specialist programs (such as Reading Recovery) and support are available for children who are at risk in reading and writing.

Numeracy - Trinity Catholic Primary Kemps Creek

Numeracy

At Trinity, we believe that numeracy is best taught and learnt through rich and relevant experiences integrated into the curriculum. Our daily numeracy sessions include opportunities for the students to engage in activities that develop and promote reasoning, problem-solving, working mathematically and communicating their thinking. A variety of resources assist students to develop efficient mathematical fluency.

Specialist programs (such as Extending Mathematical Understanding) and support are available for children who are at risk in mathematics.
