Catholic Schools Week is a celebration that brings together Catholic school communities across New South Wales, held 8-14 March 2015.
It is a wonderful opportunity for schools to celebrate what happens every day in our Catholic schools and in the Diocese of Parramatta, schools will be opening their doors to showcase learning and teaching at its best with a range of activities and events planned for students and parents during the week. You will be able to join in celebration as we share photos and news from our schools via our website and social media channels.
The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2015 is ‘Educating for today and tomorrow’. This theme ties in with the
50th anniversary of Gravissimum Educationis, a document of the Second Vatican Council that was created by the Synod Fathers in 1965. The document recognised the continuing need for the Church to support parents in the education of their children so that they might be better equipped to participate professionally in the social, political and economic life of their communities well into the future.
Catholic students across NSW also have the opportunity to share in $5,000 of prizes by entering a 30 second video in the Catholic Schools Week competition. Students are encouraged to think creatively about what Catholic schools of tomorrow will look like and enter the competition online. More details are available on the Catholic schools website.

On this ANZAC Day, we reflect on the values of mateship, courage and resilience - values that continue to inspire and guide us as a community. On Monday at the Nepean River, our Staff Formation Day provided a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our Catholic faith and its place in our daily work. Through prayer, shared conversations, and thoughtful learning, we were reminded of the values that guide us—compassion, service, and community. CROSS COUNTRY Our recent Cross Country Carnival was a fantastic success, with students embracing the day with enthusiasm and energy. It was wonderful to see everyone out on the course, giving their best, supporting their friends, and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship throughout the event. A sincere thank you to the parents who came along to help and support on the day. Your time, encouragement, and assistance made the event run smoothly and added to the positive atmosphere. Congratulations to all students who participated—you should be proud of your efforts. A special congratulations to those who have progressed through to the Zone Carnival. We wish you the very best as you represent our school at the next level!

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

HARMONY Day Today we celebrate Harmony Day, which is part of Harmony Week. It is a time to celebrate the many cultures, languages, traditions, and stories that make our country such a wonderful place to live. In our school and in our community, people come from many different backgrounds. Some people were born here, and others came from different parts of the world. Each person brings something special to share. The 2026 theme is “Culture Connects Us All.” Culture includes the way we live, the food we eat, the stories we tell, the music we enjoy, and the traditions we celebrate. When we share our cultures and listen to one another, we learn, we grow, and we build friendships. This helps everyone feel safe, respected, and included. As a Catholic community, we believe that all people are made in God’s image and are deeply loved by God. Today we remember the Harmony Day message...Everyone belongs!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful school community for your generosity and spirit! 💚 Together, we raised an amazing $455 to donate to Project Compassion, supporting those in need and making a real difference in the lives of others.
